There is always something....

My last blog was about my husband but at the end of it I forgot to wish all the Father's and GrandFathers a HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! And Happy 3ird Birthday to Jersey!!!

I had a doctors appt last Thursday and I felt really good going in but not so good going out. There is always something.... I am measuring about 3 weeks behind so Dr. Corbett wanted me to for another ultrasound and stress test. I wasn't nervous up until I got to the nurse who was booking my appt, she made it sound EXTREMELY urgent that all of the sudden I was struck with sudden fear. All day long I agonized over this test and what they would find. My family tried reassuring me but horrible thoughts always sneek into your head ( all thanks to that one nurse)
Friday afternoon Steve and I headed to the Grey Nuns.....i went in for the ultrasound and guess what the first thing the tech lady said to me..... " It looks like your cervix is open? Do you get contractions?" AHHH....YES lady, i get them everyday. She never said anything else the rest of the ultrasound and in the meantime I am fighting tears and the fears that I am either going to deliver really early or be on bed rest. After getting all the mesurements she does some other test to check my cervix and guess what? It was closed and all she said was " I guess I had a wrong angle" ....sometimes I wonder about these people.
Sorry for the rant......
Steve did get to come in and we got to see our baby kicking around and playing with it's hand, so cute :) I haven't heard from my doctor but the lady did say that I am measuring small. Baby is about 2lbs 4oz right now so she thinks my dates are wrong. I'm thinking to myself....Maybe I am just having a small baby (I was small and so was Steve) instead of a 10lbs one and I'm ok with that as long as baby keeps growing. Anyway....will wait to see what my doctor says, will be seeing him in less then 2 weeks.

The rest of the weekend went well. Steve golfed on Saturday with some friends, I did some house cleaning in the morning and then Brig B came over in the afternoon and we enjoyed the sunshine out on the deck and had a great visit. That night went to Steve's hockey wind up get together, that was fun and relaxing. Sunday Steve golfed with his dad and I headed to the lake with my mom. It was a great day at the lake, got some sun in along with plenty of laughs and good food. I love lazy Sundays :)

Steve and I are in full swing trying to prepare the baby room, that is our main project for the week/weekend along with whatever else will pop up.
