2 steps back

It seems that I only update on a weekly basis so I better go back and talk about Steve's Bday. We went to see Avatar.....Steve had been waiting so patiently to see this movie so we finally made it. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! I'm so glad we went to see it in theatre, it was worth it. I think the movie got robbed at the oscars, it didn't win best picture or director. After the movie we went home and I gave Steve his present. With my brothers help we were able to find him an authentic signed Detroit Shannahan Jersey, Steve's favorite player. He was surprised and loved it!!!!

A few days later I received a call from the doctor's office. My test results were back and showed that I was low in iron and now have to be on a supplement for 3 months. Frustrated!!! Plus, some of my tests were inconclusive and showed signs of an infection so I had to go back ASAP for more tests. I'm still waiting on those results. Now that I am taking this supplement I feel like I have taken two steps back in the way I'm feeling. After 2 weeks of not being sick and barely feeling any nausea, I am not able to keep everything down again and I feel sick all day long. It's a huge pain and makes me not enjoy being pregnant at all. I have a few questions for the doctors office but I will wait until my appt at the end of the month and suffer through it. Hopefully it gets better.

This week is a bit low key, I'm just getting ready for the shower that I am throwing for Braden and Sarah. Thank goodness my sister and mom are pitching in, seeing that I am not feeling well again....they are both so great and I'm lucky.

Steve and I are also trying to finish up and decorate our living room and then we can get started with shifting things around upstairs and preparing the baby room. We are currently looking for a few new paintings for the living room so the walls are still bare but it's coming along. I think once we find what we are looking for it will be nice. The new furniture alone makes a world of difference.

I'm also planning a trip to Vancouver with Brigitte B to go and see Carmen at the end of April. I cannot wait to get away for a few days and visit one of my favorite people.
That's it for now.....

  1. Iron can be REALLY rough on anyone, nevermind when you're pregnant! Don't be scared to call your doctor's office if you have questions, it's your right. Or you can call your nurse friend...I'll try and give you some answers. Hang in there, love you, it is so worth it at the end...
