Here is a view of the fire.
A scary incident happened to my uncle on Wednesday. I had noticed some major smoke just south of Beaumont around 2:30pm in the afternoon while on my way to the bank. I had a horrible feeling about it all day and after dinner Steve decided we should go to uncle Gerry's farm to get some water. Usually I never go with Steve but that night just had to. I was telling Steve about the fire on the way and as we got to the farm saw a few trucks back behind the chicken barns. Then all of the sudden we saw a fire truck pull in and Steve and I jumped in the car and headed to the barns. We found Uncle Gerry and noticed all the burnt trees and the smell of fire. Apparently someone was burning garbage at their place and a spark flew and started a major grass fire that made it's way ALL the way to my uncles farm. It came about 5 feet from the barns and 20 feet from the house. The fire crews worked very hard to keep the flames away from the structures and they did a great job. We went around my uncles place and looked at the mess and it was unbelievable. I know God was definately looking out for him and his family that afternoon. Thank God everything turned out the way it did.
I've done a few things around the house this week and in the city but tried to spent a lot of time at home just resting. Saw mom quite a bit this week which is nice. I have the best mom in the world and don't know what I would do without her.
I helped Lindsay make baby annoucements on Monday which was fun, it's getting sooooo close. Now I am really getting anxious. Linds had another ultrasound yesterday and they figure the baby is around 6lbs with another 4 weeks to go and to GROW.
This weekend Steve is off so we are hoping to get a few things organized in the house and shifted around. Trying to make room for our new little addition. We also have the curling wind up tomorrow night which should be fun. Fingers crossed that I feel good tomorrow.
Haven't talked much with friends this week. Brig B is really busy at work this week training a new employee so hopefully we can catch up on the weekend. Scott and Kelly have left for a week to Dominican for a well deserved holiday, haven't seen Rene and Kelly since they got back from their trip to Mexico. Hopefully soon I will talk to Sarah and find out how they are all doing. There is just not enough hours in the day.
Hey Binz. I tried to call you the other day, don't know if you got my message. Glad you're feeling better. I can't believe you're still in your own clothes! I had a pretty decent sized bump at 18 weeks, just look on my Flickr! I was out of my own clothes starting at 12 weeks! Enjoy the weekend and take it easy when you go back to work. Love you.
